Grows in our shadehouse, flowering in late summer. A miniature, mature plants are only 10cm high. The flower is a very clear, bright red and large for the size of the plant.
The species was discovered near a new road in Argentina, growing on rocks (Rauh, 1979, page 411). Said to be tolerant of very dry conditions.
